Balsamic Bacon Brussel Sprouts

Brussels sprouts…they seem to be every child’s worst nightmare of vegetables right? These roasted balsamic bacon brussel sprouts are delicious. They are easily roasted in the oven with some balsamic glaze, pecans, and chicken bacon. This side dish will definitely remind you of all the savory aromas of Thanksgiving day regardless of when you make it. They get a nice little crispy taste to them once they come out of the oven. The balsamic, pecan, and bacon combination adds so much flavor to them. These would make a great side dish with chicken, pork chops, steak, or even salmon. With the holidays right around the corner these would also be a great addition to your holiday meals.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 16 ounces of Brussel Sprouts
  • 1 tbsp. of avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp. of pecans
  • 3 tbsp. of Balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp. of chicken bacon
  • 1 tsp. of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. of oregano
  • 2 tsp. of rosemary
  • 1 tsp. of ground pepper

To make this recipe simply start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Next, chop up the brussel sprouts. I chopped them into 4’s. Then, place the chopped brussel sprouts into a baking pan. Add 1 tbsp. of avocado oil, 3 tbsp. of balsamic glaze, 2 tbsp. of diced chicken bacon, and 2 tbsp. of pecans. You can easily use regular bacon or turkey bacon too whichever you prefer. Mix everything in the baking pan together. Make sure the brussel sprouts are all lightly coated with the balsamic glaze. Next, add 1 tsp. of garlic powder, 1 tsp. of oregano, 2 tsp. of rosemary and 1 tsp. of ground pepper. Place the brussel sprouts in the oven for about 30 minutes. The cooking time might vary slightly depending on your preference, so be sure to keep an eye on them. Once they are done cooking remove the balsamic bacon brussel sprouts from the oven and enjoy!
