Honey Sesame Chicken and Broccoli

Who else loves some good sesame chicken?? This honey sesame chicken and broccoli is delicious and can be made without ever leaving the comfort of your own home. Eating out is always a nice treat, but I love eating in most days. Anyone else??? The honey sesame chicken and broccoli makes a great dinner for the family, meal prep for lunches, or dinner for two. You can easily double this recipe to make as much as you need. The honey sesame chicken is cooked with olive oil, teriyaki sauce, ground ginger, garlic powder, and a splash of white wine. I cooked it in a cast iron skillet, which helped the chicken have an added crispy texture.

Ingredients You Will Need:

  • 1 lb. of chicken breast
  • 2 cups of broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp. of olive oil
  • 1 tsp. of white wine
  • 2 tbsp. of honey
  • 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp. of sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp. of ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. of garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. of salt

Begin by chopping up the 1 lb. of chicken breast. Coat a large pan with 3 tbsp. of olive oil. I recommend using a cast iron skillet if you have one. Toss the 1 lb. of chopped chicken breast in the pan and begin cooking the chopped chicken breast on the stove over medium heat. Add 1 tsp. of white wine, 2 tbsp. of honey, and 1/4 cup of teriyaki sauce to the chicken breast. Allow this to simmer while mixing around the chicken periodically with a spatula. Add 1 tbsp. of ground ginger, 1 1/2 tbsp. of garlic powder and 2 tsp. of salt to the chicken. Mix around the chicken until it is just about fully cooked. Once the chicken is almost done cooking toss in the 2 cups of broccoli florets and 2 tbsp. of sesame seeds. After that, allow the chicken and broccoli to continue cooking until both are fully cooked. Once everything is fully cooked and enjoy. This can be served with another vegetable or over a bed of rice.
