One Pan Shrimp Kielbasa Skillet

I love a good one pan recipe for a quick delicious dinner during the week. This one pan shrimp and kielbasa skillet is a great easy and flavorful meal. I don’t know about you, but our work weeks are always packed with things to do. A simple dinner always helps to make are day a little easier. This one pan shrimp kielbasa skillet combines a delicious turkey kielbasa with shrimp, broccoli, white onions and sweet potatoes to make a tasty dinner. You can easily cook it on medium over the stove or place it in the oven for about 30 minutes. I would recommend beginning with cooking down the sweet potatoes or placing the diced sweet potatoes in the oven for about 10 minutes before adding the over ingredients to get them nicely cooked.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1/2 lb. of shrimp
  • 13 ounces Turkey kielbasa
  • 1 cup of chopped sweet potato or 1-2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of chopped broccoli
  • 1/4 cup of diced white onion

Begin by peeling and dicing 1 or 2 sweet potatoes to get 1 cup of chopped sweet potato. Next, start chopping the turkey kielbasa and broccoli. Then dice 1/4 cup of white onion. Remove the tails, veins, and peel shrimp if necessary depending on the type of shrimp purchased.

Place the 1 cup of diced sweet potato into the cast iron skillet with a light coating of avocado oil or desired cooking oil. Cook the sweet potatoes about half way either on the stove over medium heat or in the oven at 375 for 10 minutes. Once the sweet potatoes are about half cooked then add in 1/2 lb. of shrimp, the diced turkey kielbasa, 1/2 cup of chopped broccoli, and 1/4 cup of diced white onion. Cook all the ingredients either on the stove for approximately 20-30 minutes or in the oven for about 25 minutes or until everything is fully cooked.
