What You’ll Need for these Easy to Make Pizza Cups

  • Muffin pan
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Pizza dough (I used Simple Mills boxed pizza dough mix)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 cup of pizza sauce
  • 2 tbsp. Italian seasoning

How to Make Pizza Cups

Start by preparing the pizza dough, but don’t bake it yet. You can make your own dough, purchase a pre-made dough, or use a box mix. I used Simple Mills boxed pizza dough mix and followed the directions on the box to prepare the dough. Once the dough is ready coat the muffin pan using a small amount of olive oil. Place about a 1 inch ball of uncooked dough into each tin of the muffin pan. Press the dough out flat to cover the bottom portion of the muffin tin.

Next, top each pizza dough with a small layer of pizza sauce. Sprinkle shredded cheese onto each pizza cup and top with a little bit of Italian seasoning. You can then leave them as just cheese or add any toppings you prefer. Some easy toppings could be pepperoni, peppers, onions, mushrooms, pineapple, or ham. Place the pizza cups in the oven at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes. The cooking time will vary significantly depending on the pizza dough used, so be sure to check them often until they are done cooking. Once they are done, remove from the oven, allow to cool, and enjoy!
