I love making pizza at home! One of the main reasons is because I can’t have dairy, so making pizza at home allows me to make the perfect dairy-free pizza to enjoy. I find it fun sometimes to come up with pizza toppings that don’t include cheese rather then using a dairy-free alternative. One of my favorite pizza combinations is pear and prosciutto. Instead of using cheese or sauce for this pizza it is actually made with fig butter as the base. It makes it a sweeter pizza, but combined with the flavors of arugula and prosciutto it balances out perfectly. This easy prosciutto fig pizza combines fig butter, arugula, pears, and prosciutto to make a crunchy flatbread.
Ingredients for Arugula Prosciutto Fig Pizza
To make this recipe you only need 5 ingredients. First you will need a flatbread. Personally I just use store bought flatbreads making this recipe quick and simple. Along with the flatbread you will need fig butter, arugula, a pear, and prosciutto. Most store bought flatbreads are typically the size of a personal pizza for one person, so for one serving you’ll need 1 tbsp. of the fig butter, 1 tsp. of olive oil, 1/4 cup of arugula, 1/4 of a sliced pear, and 1 ounce of prosciutto.

How to Make an Easy Prosciutto Fig Flatbread Pizza
Simply start by drizzling 1 tsp. of olive oil onto a flatbread. Next, spread 1 tbsp. of fig butter across the flatbread pizza. Top the pizza with 1/4 cup arugula, 1/4 of a sliced pear, and 1 ounce of prosciutto. Now cook the prosciutto fig pizza for about 10 minutes in either the oven at 400 degrees or on the grill in a cast iron skillet. The time it takes to cook may vary. Cook until the flatbread is crisp or to your liking. Once it is done allow it to cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy!
I hope you decide to give this prosciutto fig pizza a try. It’s the perfect pizza for a summer evening or date night at home. For more recipes and hosting ideas follow along on Instagram and/ or Pinterest.
