This simple chicken salad recipe is the perfect basic chicken salad to make for meal prep or lunch on the weekend. It includes chicken, mayonnaise, celery, relish, and some spices to create this tasty chicken salad. Ingredients to Make this Simple Chicken Salad Recipe

  • 3 chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 4 tbsp. of dill relish
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

How to Make this Simple Chicken Salad Recipe

First, start by baking the 3 chicken breast in the oven. Place the chicken breast in the pan with 1 tbsp. of olive oil for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until done. The time in the oven will vary on the thickness of the chicken breast, so be sure they are fully cooked before removing from the oven.

While the chicken is cooking dice up 4 stalks of celery. Once the chicken is fully cooked remove from the oven. Begin pulling the chicken apart. The easiest way to do this is by using a stand mixer. If you don’t have a stand mixer you can use 2 forks to pull the chicken. Add all the pulled chicken into a large bowl. Next, add in the diced celery, 4 tbsp. of dill relish, and 1/2 cup of mayonnaise. Mix everything together well! Then, add in 1 tsp. of salt, 2 tsp. of pepper, 1 tsp. of garlic powder, 1 tsp. of onion powder, and 1 1/2 tsp. of Italian seasoning. Mix in all the seasonings well. Store in a large container in the fridge or serve and enjoy!
