Turkey Burgers

I love cooking with ground turkey anytime of the year, but especially during the fall. I start getting ready for Thanksgiving and all the fun holiday celebrations. It truly is my favorite time of the year. These delicious turkey burgers do not disappoint. They are pretty simple to make and a great way to make a classic burger, but with ground turkey. These turkey burgers can be served several ways. My personal favorite is with some lettuce, chicken bacon, and sliced avocado. I love avocado on top of my burgers. If you haven’t tried it I would highly recommend giving it a try. The turkey burgers are a great staple recipe for after a long work day, weekend cookout, dinner and bonfire, or perfect for dinner when you have family in town. Regardless of the occasion these burgers are always tasty.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 lb of ground turkey
  • 1/4 c. of diced onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. of rice crumbs
  • 2 tbsp. of water
  • 2 tsp. of salt
  • 1 tsp. of garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. of ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp. of parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. of smoked paprika

To make these tasty turkey burgers begin with a medium sized mixing bowl to combine 1lb. of ground turkey, 1/4 cup of diced onion, 1 egg, and 1/2 cup of rice crumbs. Mix these ingredients together. Next, add 2 tbsp. of water, 2 tsp. of salt, 2 tsp. of ground pepper, 1 tsp. of garlic powder, 1 tbsp. of parsley, and 1/2 tsp. of smoked paprika.

After all the ingredients have been mixed together then begin forming the burgers by scooping the mixture with a 1/4 cup measuring cup. Place each scoop onto a pan and smash down each scoop to form a patty. Cook each burger in a pan on the stove until they are fully cooked. These burgers can be served however you prefer and are great for gatherings.
